2015 Top Trends

Colors, style and comfort are the things that matter the most for Portofino when preparing our collections. What will be the best to coordinate with your shoes in 2015? Here is an overview of trends in the fashion world.

The color of the year

The Pantone Color Institute, the top experts in the field have spoken: Marsala color, a gorgeous terracotta red shade, is the official color of the year. An embracing warm shade that fits with many colors such as ochre and eggplant, which you will find in our next Fall 2015 collection.

Right back to the Seventies

The 70s are back in play, mixt with contemporary looks . Alterning between gypsy style and disco inspiration, prints work aside volumes and layers. Short skirts mixt with long shirts, the skin tight skirt with loose puffy tops. At the ankle or low to the ground, flared pants and high rise waists are coming back. Military outfits are revisited with a touch more glamorous and cinched waists. Denim is more popular than ever!

To adopt the trend, we dare a little eccentricity: black and white duo, ethnic patterns, fringes, houndstooth , stripes and impressive flowers.

One belt!

The big buckle belts are back to shape up blouses, skirts, coats, shirtdresses and jumpsuits.

Romantic Spring-summer

English embroidery is back! Cotton, lace and chiffon are popular alongside plaid dresses, bohemian looks and vintage patchworks. The yellow is present in several colors and harmonizes well with neutral tones or explosive ones.

Cozy fall-winter

Knitted fabrics, mohair, fur and sheepskin are a must. Wools are felted, thick and structured. Knitted pants, turtlenecks, long sleeves sweaters , peasant blouses and mid-calf dresses are key. Burgundy shines against golden hues.
