Photo Shoot With Portofino

Working with artists is always interesting, with Portofino, it’s exceptional. I work with the team for some months now and from the first moment, I felt as if they had accepted me in a big family. This feeling became even more a reality when I accompanied the photographer Laurie-Anne and Myriam the model on the photo shoot for the Spring 2017 collection.

On the way!

Arriving at the office, the cars were already crammed with shoe boxes and different items to decorate the photos. We were looked for some other stuff at the grocery store and then we went to the location for the shooting. On the way, we had to stop to take a bite and let the cloud that opened up the sky pass by. After the rain, we made our way to our destination: the cabins from the road of the old church in Lotbinière; a haven full of charm with a view over the St-Laurence River at the end of a quiet street. What a wonderful place! It was our playground for the day.

It was already 1pm when we arrived and finished pulling out all boxes of products and accessories from the cars.

The fun begins!

On site, there were so many articles and antique furniture that it was difficult to choose where to start. Since all our stuff was in the veranda, this is where we took the first pictures. Then we braved a few mosquitoes that came out after the downpour to take pictures outside. When the heat became overwhelming with the moisture that filled the air, we decided to go inside the house to be cooler and continue our photo shoot. To end the day, we went on the dock before sunset to enjoy one of the most delicious lighting for pictures.

Throughout the day, despite the mountain of work we had to do, the three of us had fun. It must be said that being in such a peaceful place supports good relations, but also there’s the fact that the owner knows how to surround himself well!

The day was long but very productive and we look forward to showing you the fruits of our labour.
